The story
I am a Piroetta di Carta wallpaper, born from an old and light gesture: hands folding a sheet until a crane flies out of it. At the centre I open as a great crane with wings spread, and around me other, smaller cranes turn and tilt in a wheel that still seems to be spinning, like a paper carousel suspended in the air.
Between one fold and the next I leave room for small branches of plum blossom, for bamboo leaves as fine as brushstrokes, for clouds curling into soft scrolls: flat shapes, clean silhouettes, full colours without shadow, as in a fine illustrated book for children. The ground is pale porcelain, and on it coral, celadon, indigo and pale gold alternate with grace, while a few gold and jade cranes light the composition without ever shouting.
I settle slightly to the left of centre, leaving much air and visual silence around me, so that the room can breathe with me. From a distance I am a single turning gesture, harmonious; close to, every crane reveals its own folds, every petal its own ink outline. I am made for a bright child's room, where play and quiet live together, where someone growing up can look at me every day and always find a new detail.
In my texture I carry the patience of origami and the craft care with which WallZad selects every surface, so that the Piroetta di Carta wallpaper becomes, on the wall, a small theatre of oriental grace, made to measure for any room.
