Scogliera di Corallo

I like to describe the Scogliera di Corallo wallpaper as a fragment of coastline suspended between rock and sea breath. It belongs to the panoramic landscape style: the scene unfolds in horizontal bands, from the flowering cliff in the foreground — layered, warm with ochre and terracotta — to the more distant headlands, fading into softer tones towards a turquoise sea and a pale, open sky.

Along the rocky edges rest sprays of five-petalled blossoms, coral and blush pink on slender stems, among small round leaves and tufts of grass slipping towards the water. In this design I see the threshold between solid ground and open horizon, the point where the most fragile blossom holds against the sea wind. It is a landscape that tells no single place, but the promise of every flowering coast, the calm found only when the eye can travel far.
