Spigolo Franco

I am the Spigolo Franco wallpaper, born of a single irregular perimeter that, cutting through space with decided strokes, generates the whole internal geometry: shards, triangles, trapezoids and thin blades converge towards the centre like solidified waves.

My language is that of the constructive abstraction of the Madi group: planes of full colour — cadmium red, cobalt blue, yellow ochre, black and white — set side by side without shading, separated by outlines as clean as scalpel cuts. I do not look for shadow, I look for the edge: that is where my identity shows, in the precision of the register between one plane and the next, in the fine double lines that retrace the logic of the original perimeter, in the small trapezoidal shards that repeat, at smaller scale, the outline containing them.

My composition is asymmetrical: a core of interlocking polygons gathers slightly off centre, while smaller fragments thin out towards the corners, leaving open fields that breathe beside the density of the heart. Seen from a distance, my structure reads as a single decided gesture; close up, it reveals a meticulous interlacing of cuts and joins.

I choose to inhabit the offices and studios where the natural light is clear and time runs in order: I bring to those spaces the same compositional discipline that sustains work well done, calm and unhurried.
