Fulcro Immobile

I sign the Fulcro Immobile wallpaper as an act of balance: a dark, compact core stays still at the centre of the composition, while around it angular planes — wedges, splinters, trapezoids — lock into a radial formation, their straight edges converging on the heart like spokes stopped mid-rotation, their outer points opening into staggered diagonal thrusts. It is the language of Vorticism that guides every line: taut geometry, no curves, flat colours meeting along clean cuts, in an abstract design where centrifugal force stays imprisoned in the form.

I worked the palette as a discipline: matt black, iron grey and bone white anchor the core and the darker splinters, while ochre, brick red and a single steel-blue accent run through the outer planes, each a steady colour without gradation. From a distance the design reads as a single powerful gesture; close up you find the fine texture — parallel hatching, small secondary triangles, thin fractures — incised like scars along some of the edges, mechanical energy compressed into a structure that stays, in spite of everything, still.
