Geode di Malva

It is born thus, among the veins of stone, the Geode di Malva wallpaper, a design that belongs to the Terrazzo & Stone family and tells the slow architecture of mineral matter.

Across the surface lie agate medallions, each one the polished cross-section of a banded stone: concentric bands that thicken and thin as they follow the rock's natural rings, opening at the centre onto a small crystalline core of jagged facets, like a miniature geode. Medallions of varying sizes — small satellites and dominant forms — overlap and interlock at their edges, composing a continuous field, free of any rigid grid, where the organic rhythm leaves room for a few quiet gaps of ground. The colour belongs to stone itself: a warm grey ground, bands of dusty lilac and grey-mauve alternating, and the silvery white of the crystalline hearts.

In this design I observe the patience of the earth, the long time that turns matter into ornament. Every mineral geometry becomes a reminder of stillness, the same stillness we seek within the walls we inhabit. In this sense, the Geode di Malva wallpaper does not merely decorate, but returns to the room a fragment of stone turned into light.
