Grecale Ocra

I was born as Grecale Ocra wallpaper, from the ancient sign of the Greek key — the meander the ancients wove to tell of the infinite with neither beginning nor end — reinterpreted in a single composition, which opens from a corner dense with interlacing to a wider breath of concentric circles and faceted lozenges.

I am not a pattern repeated endlessly, but a single design that lives on a calculated imbalance: where the line thickens, it tells of memory; where it thins, it leaves room for the present. Gypsum, sand, burnt clay and terracotta alternate with deep ink, muted sage and petrol, while a fine gold thread follows the edge of the meander like a promise kept over time.
