Guscio d’Oro

I am the Guscio d’Oro wallpaper, born of a garden suspended in time, where a tortoise with a warm, mottled shell rests among white and pink daisies, framed by an arch of flowering branches that bends gently towards the centre, like an embrace from nature itself.

In my design slowness lives as a virtue, not as a limit: the measured pace of one who carries her house on her back tells the youngest that not everything of worth is in a hurry to arrive. In the background, a grassy path fades into a golden haze, where two small birds settle among the branches and a golden dragonfly suspends time in an instant of quiet. The light of early morning touches every petal and every scale of the shell, in a single glow that seems to promise a day full of wonder.

I have chosen warm, enveloping tones — cream, sage, powder pink — because a child’s room should first of all be a welcoming place, where the eye grows before thought does.
