Rosone di Rodocrosite

The Rosone di Rodocrosite wallpaper comes from a section of rhodochrosite, the mineral stalactite cut into a disc and polished until its innermost core is revealed. It belongs to the bark and mineral surfaces group, a material vocabulary WallZad likes to translate onto the wall: here the motif shows a single almost circular medallion, concentric bands tightening around a small hollow, almost black nucleus, then opening into rings of dark red, antique pink, salmon and pale rose, alternating with fine bands of ivory and cream.
