Between one cluster and the next the ground breathes, letting the eye rest, then return to seek out the next seed, the facet of light, the fine crack in the rind.

This is a still life carried to an opulent, almost monumental scale, where every seed, leaf and tendril is drawn with the same care as a botanical engraving: firm lines, precisely graduated shading, nothing left to suggestion.
