The story
The Ventaglio d’Aurora wallpaper comes from the wish to hold that precise instant in which light opens out in rays, ordered and confident as a drawing of the 1920s brought into a warm Mediterranean key. I imagined rising-sun fans alternating with scalloped shells, enclosed within stepped arches and dotted with tiny lozenges: a symmetrical, confident geometry, never cold.
It is a motif that lives at two distances. From afar the large fans mark the wall with a decided rhythm; up close they reveal the fine weave of the rays and the ribs of the shells, an inlay work that rewards the patient eye. The palette — burnished gold, terracotta, antique pink, deep emerald and petrol blue on a cream ground — carries the enveloping quiet of a bedroom at sunset.
In its repeated rising I read a small thought about time: the dawn that returns each day identical and yet always new, a promise of order and rebirth. The Ventaglio d’Aurora wallpaper turns this idea into a surface, into breathing space for walls.
