Filigrana Smeraldina

I come into being as a jewel laid out on the wall: the Filigrana Smeraldina wallpaper tells of the mantis in its most absolute grace, caught in the suspended instant of its pose, between stem and leaf, as in an ancient rite of balance and waiting.

Every figure is drawn like a small precious enamel: fine gold threads define its outline, the serrated legs, the triangular head, while flat fields of jade and olive fill thorax and wing cases.
