Meandri di Mangrovia

I am born as water becoming a mirror: the Meandri di Mangrovia wallpaper tells of the channels of the mangrove forest at high tide, when the river splits into tributaries and the vegetation presses dense on both banks. There is no emptiness in my design: every arching root, every ripple on the brown water, every thick wall of foliage finds its place in a composition that breathes asymmetrically, led by a single channel that works its way into the frame and branches towards a high horizon veiled in haze.

My palette comes from the place itself: bottle green and olive, the brackish brown of the water, the pale grey of the light that filters damp through the leaves, the jade shadow beneath the canopy. Looking at me close up you find the roots emerging from the mud, the slow eddies of the current; from a distance I remain one great natural breath, sharp from the foreground to the furthest haze.

I bring into a bathroom the quiet of a remote, untouched place, where water is not an obstacle but a way, and the silence of the forest becomes an accomplice to the morning shower or the evening bath. In this space of diffuse light and taut surfaces, my design becomes a threshold onto a natural elsewhere, without ever losing the restraint an intimate room requires.

Every roll is printed with the tailored care that distinguishes WallZad: a single continuous image, made to clothe the wall as one would clothe a thought, with no visible seams and no repeats to betray its painterly nature.
