The story
The Palmeto Aureo wallpaper comes from a design that knows no half measures: two large stylised palm leaves rise from a common base, open into a fan of sharp blades and mirror one another on a central axis, until they interlace at the top in a radiant rosette that occupies the heart of the composition. It is the language of Deco Nocturne, a style declared here without hesitation: a compact midnight-blue ground, a gold line incised to define each single leaf, and a matt bronze reserved for the alternate blades, separating the two fans that overlap at the apex.
Close to, every blade reveals a central rib traced with drafting-machine precision and a series of parallel veins running to the tip; at the base of the trunk small geometric notches mark where the leaves meet, and the weight of the gold line changes where one motif passes over another, telling of a construction in layered planes rather than of real botany.
I wanted this severe, luminous symmetry to stay legible from every corner of the room, as it was conceived for a teenagers' room that looks for character without childishness: a single wall that becomes a gesture, needing nothing else. In the choice of materials and in the care of every drawn line I recognise the quiet work behind every Palmeto Aureo wallpaper signed by WallZad: a nocturnal elegance, made to stay.
