The story
I imagined the Quiete di Loto wallpaper as a surface of still water, rippled only by the discreet passing of a thought. Seigaiha waves follow one another in regular scales, calm and ordered as the breathing of a pond at dawn, while lotus flowers open here and there with coral petals, and small koi drawn in ink slip among the reeds without ever disturbing the surface.
In the motif there is no centre and no hierarchy: every corner of the wall breathes with the same grace, every wave continues into the next without a break, like a thought that repeats without tiring. This is the silent lesson of Eastern aesthetics that I wanted to keep: repetition not as monotony but as rite, as water that always returns to the same bed while never being the same water.
The celadon and porcelain of the ground let the indigo draw the outlines with the precision of a brush dipped only once, while the measured gold holds the light as an old lacquer would. From a distance the wall vibrates with a single continuous wave; close to, every scale reveals the hand that traced it.
In this Quiete di Loto wallpaper I recognise WallZad's craft: care in the fine texture, the considered choice of tones, respect for a space that must stay serene even when it is full of detail.
