The story
I call this composition the Sommossa di Obiettivi wallpaper, an example of what I call rebel mezzotint: cameras drawn in ink with a clean, high-contrast line, filled with dot textures that thicken and thin, shooting in from all four sides and carrying on unseen beyond the edge. SLR bodies, twin-lens boxes, single-use compacts, concentric aperture rings, viewfinders and film advance levers pile up without a pause, as if a whole drawer of optical memories had been tipped out onto the wall.
A sharp red pulses inside every camera, the only colour allowed into the black and white of the ink, while fine hatching cuts barrels and rings like small intaglio engravings. The result sits halfway between underground comics and the silkscreen poster: energetic, contemporary, never nostalgic.
For a teenagers' room that asks for personality without childishness, this design speaks of looking: the act of observing the world, fixing it, giving it back transformed — an invitation to choose your own point of view.
