Villa del Crepuscolo

In the Villa del Crepuscolo wallpaper I inhabit, for a moment, the quiet of a house that seems suspended outside time. The central block rises with its triangular pediment and its arched windows framed in rusticated stone, while the low wings, with their porticoes opening in ordered rows of arches, move away like protective arms towards the edges of the view. Everything obeys a single law: symmetry, which here is not cold rigour but a promise of rest.
