The story
The Occhi di Argo wallpaper is born from a gesture of light, a design that gathers the solemn grace of the peacock and the geometric discipline of Art Deco. From a single low point at the centre of the wall, a fan of stylised plumes opens outward: each feather becomes an elongated triangular shard, itself built from diamonds, chevrons and trapezoids interlocking in concentric arcs, until the eye and barbs of every plume take shape.
Emerald green governs the broad bodies of the feathers, while bronzed gold is reserved for the sharpest facet edges, the vein lines, and the small medallions marking the tip of each plume: a ring of golden eyes gathering at the very heart of the composition, like a heraldic compass rose. The ground remains ivory, warm and quiet, letting the design thin out towards the corners and breathe.
In this motif I see the same ambition that animated the great rooms of the 1930s: reducing nature to plane, to edge, to a surface that refracts light like a cut gem. This is not repetition but a single composition, conceived to remain whole upon the wall, with no visible seam. In homes, in workplaces, in hospitality spaces, the Occhi di Argo wallpaper becomes the room's quiet fulcrum, the wall one does not furnish but contemplates.
